Astronomy: The Earth and Beyond covers key areas of the astronomy and earth science curriculum, such as why the seasons are so varied, and why eclipses occur. Featuring outstanding graphics and animations, the program includes sections on observing the night sky, the origins of the Universe, how different sorts of telescopes work, the life cycle of a star, and a guided tour of the Solar System. In many cases, images and text are available for students to extract and use in their own work. The CD-ROM is supported by a unique website with extra resources including useful links and an eclipse simulator, which can be downloaded.
