Once a rarity, centenarians are becoming noticeably less unusual. How have they managed to live so long in such good health? In this program, doctors from Harvard Medical School’s New England Centenarian Study and the University of Georgia’s study of extreme longevity search for a correlation between life span and the genetic, physical, psychological, and cognitive dimensions of aging. In addition, people who have surpassed the ten-decade mark offer personal insights into the importance of key aspects of life such as faith, exercise, nutrition, sexuality, and continued involvement in daily routines and meaningful work.
