With an emphasis on prevention, this video shows teens how an “it won’t happen to me” attitude leaves them vulnerable to STIs. Subjects include the ways in which these infections are carried and passed on, how frequent and widespread they are, their general symptoms, which diseases are curable or incurable, and how to talk with a partner about them. Exploring current testing procedures, the program also reinforces prevention through abstinence and safe sex. An excellent tool for increasing STI and STD awareness in a direct yet sensitive manner. Includes a 15-page facilitator’s guide. Not available for preview. (27 minutes)
