In part 2, the student is presented with a systems perspective of small engines. The program looks at lubrication systems, fuel systems, air filtering, speed control, and cooling systems. Students once again have control of 3-D animation when they are asked to do the job of engine governors. The student sees firsthand the problem of keeping engine speed steady under varying load conditions. This program also compares and contrasts two- and four-cycle engines in the area of lubrication. An introduction to carburetors, showing both below-tank and above-tank operation, is provided. One Windows CD-ROM. A Shopware Production.
