This program explains how the solar system came into being four-and-a-half billion years ago: the creation of a large vortex when a gas nebula began to shrink; the accretion of surrounding matter; the rising temperature of the primitive sun at the center of the vortex; and the creation of the sun through nuclear fusion. Planetary exploration is the primary method of unraveling the mysteries of the Solar System, and the program covers the planetary probes and the information gathered from them: probes of Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus.
