The general equation for sinusoidal waves is developed, and the equations for several functions are obtained from an examination of their graphs. Time is introduced as a unit for the horizontal axis, and two examples of sinusoidal motion over time are presented: alternating current and the rotation of a bicycle wheel. (10 minutes)
