Parents who love their children want what is best for them, but does that include imposing their own views on them? In this program, teens tell of their battles with their parents. Young women tell how they feel they must lie to their parents to stand up for their own rights; Muslim girls in particular are unhappy when their parents try to prevent their becoming part of Western culture. One young Muslim girl’s dilemma is whether to go against her parents’ wishes and continue her education; advice is offered by a panel consisting of a Jewish headmaster, a Church of England canon, and a Zoroastrian writer.
