Jeannette Haien has spent more than thirty-five years of her life performing as a concert pianist and teaching her students the liberating beauty of classical music. With the publication of her novel, The All of It, Haien has turned to a new art form. In this program with Bill Moyers, she discusses her views on the form, composition, and performance of music. Whether at the keyboard or at the typewriter, Haien is concerned with artistic forms that both circumscribe and enhance our lives. (30 minutes)
